Todays featured track is "Haters" (also known as "I'm A Singer") By M.I.A from her third album /\/\/\Y/\ (pronounced "Maya"). This track may have been recorded in response to a recent New York Times incident, in which M.I.A was misquoted in the piece M.I.A.’s Agitprop Pop. The Chef has this to say about the collab: “These are my dudes. We’ve been through so much together, at the end of the day, I just felt like these are the dudes I’ve been getting it in with and I wanted to have them on it. Alchemist is a good friend of mine, so me and him decided to make sure we have something prepared with them cats on it, cause he knows how I feel about them. So we made calls and reached out to dudes and it was a go.”

Today was a busy but productive day, hence the late entry. Dave and I took a trip downtown for a couple of meetings. The first was to see our buddy Fred, and give the go-ahead on the production of woven tags, which will be used for Fall cut and sew garments. Then we were off on a quick walk a few blocks north, for the last meeting. This one was to oversee and sign-off on the final sample for the DEADRABBIT fitted caps. I'm impressed, things are coming out just as I envisioned. The production process has many steps, but every step is a step closer to perfection, I guarantee it.
Featured song “Brian Eno” from Brooklyn based Electro legends MGMT's upcoming "Congratulations" album. The band had this to say about the track:
“It’s kind of a vampire-punk-rock song about finding Brian Eno in like a cathedral in Transylvania. He’s like a dark wizard. We originally asked him to produce the track, but he hadn’t heard of us.”
Great sound, great track.

The two come together to create a style blend of electric-inspired alternative rock, orchestrated over unconventional hip hop instrumentals. Definitely a good listen.
